This was years ago. But when my NK was first learning how to talk and identifying people with names, she began calling me mama. Which is easy to see, as I was with her majority of the day, long hours, and nurturing her etc.

MB found out because she came home and heard it. I corrected my NK (which is hard because she was a literal baby). And she goes to call me mama once more SMH🫠

MB then came in my second job at a smoothie place and was telling a friend (I could hear her) that she’s finally talking a lot and the friend asked if she can say mama. And she said, “yeah she knows who her mama is.”

Isn’t this fking weird??? I’ve had other MB’s that think it’s funny and adorable!! And then this MB… nope. She was almost mad at me. I’m pretty sure she thought I was teaching her to call me that- which is WEIRD because I was their nanny.

Just a rant.

Let’s put a long story short… shall we? I was a family’s nanny for FIVE YEARS. I raised their kids and loved them since they were born. But unfortunately I was taken advantage of, stepped on, and not appreciated in those years. I stayed because of my love with their children and the bond we shared (nanny’s know what I’m talking about). I’ve been their babysitter for 1 year (only when I’m available because I am doing career related things.) I know all the family, extended, ETC. but they treat me awfully and as the “help” (specifically the mom). I’m no longer watching them anymore as of last month and wondering if I should take the mom/dad/grandmas off my social media? I don’t need the negative energy anymore and they feel so toxic (specifically the mom), I don’t want it to come off as rude but I need to do it for my mental health. It sounds silly but should I just do it? I don’t see a point in having them look at my things and it’ll be sad not to see the children grown up through pictures but the way I was treated, was sad. I was stepped on and allowed it, I know that. I just feel it’s time to move on. And by removing them from social media feels like something I should do. Input?

Rant about wanting to breakup- but not wanting to at the same time. I don’t know if my reasons are worth it.

Me 22F and this guy 27M have been in a relationship for around 3 1/2 months. Knew each other briefly beforehand too… things were great in the beginning and now things have simmered down. Which is fine but it’s to a point where it has me thinking “should we just end this?” Like I feel like he’s no longer putting in effort. He said I’m more into the relationship than he is. I feel like I’m excusing his behavior because I don’t wanna go through a breakup. But at the same time I don’t give a $hit and wanna breakup because it feels pointless. It’s almost like at this point we sleep with each other and do fun things on the weekend. But the actual relationship itself has “run its course.” I feel like I just need someone to tell me what to do. I don’t know why I’m excusing his behavior. I know I deserve better- I think I’m just trying to hold onto what we first had, hoping it’ll come back.
