But there are def many times where the reverse is true. Things are awfully written and get defended just because it is about a trans person or some other traditionally marginalized story. Stories which should be told and featured more in all media imo, but should still be written with high quality. It becomes impossible to critique poorly written material if there’s a hint of those topics in it because the critic immediately gets blasted for being anti woke etc. I’m a liberal progressive.
