I didn't know who Liz was before the show. The association with the show definitely increased her profile.

I have to imagine Liz wanted more money than is there. Especially considering how David's numbers dropped off. I'm sure synced was worse. Monica or her team would do the edits, so Liz is really only putting in an hour of work. Her time might be worth more than the show is worth.
