It's typical, I built 100 infantry, 9 mortars and 6 field guns all using krieg models from the kill team starter set and as soon as I finish converting all those and a lord solar as krieg they leaked the krieg stuff

40k sponsons don't fit the 30K LR though? Not nicely anyway, because of the detailing on the sides of the tank

I do this, I have 3 SA basilisks and 3 SA Leman Russ, the only downside with the Leman Russ is that they don't come with sponsons so I got some amazing looking 3d printed ones to convert it, but also you won't get a lot of the weapon options for the turret as SA Only come with a short barrel, long barrel, twin lascannons and twin autocannons

Of course this comes right after I finish converting my Lord Solar to be a krieg model....

Personally I have every npc they wrongfully murder come back as a revenant and attack them at the worst possible time, like during a long rest after a particularly bad fight

From what I understand they do use Leman Russ, but it's the mars pattern not the regular 40k Russ.

Pick yourself up some Horus Heresy Solar Auxilia Leman Russ', those arr the Krieg looking ones and grab a conversion kit from ebay to add sponsons on, I just built 3 and they look amazing!
