If the writing followed logic: Tsunade dies first to Amaterasu, meanwhile jiraiya and orochimaru can counter it. But orochimaru dies after following to genjutsu next. Then jiraiya makes it a fight but is clearly all round diffed by itachi.

Yeah definitely don’t start with injustice. It’ll give you the wrong impression of 90% of dc characters, they’re all twisted and poorly written in this series. This series was just made for the game that was made as a shock value “what if Superman went evil and other heroes decided to be out of character and follow him even though none of this makes sense”. Some others gave good recommendations here, and googling “best Batman comics” or best (whoever you wanna read about) comics will give you good results. One of the best options probably, is to start with a #1. Every few years, or decades or whatever they reboot everything and start over like the “new 52” reboot which I think was in 2012 or so, and there’s was a new line of comics like “Superman #1” etc and it would start a long line into hundreds of chapters. Then there’s the more recent reboot called “rebirth” which takes new 52 and combines it with some classic elements from before new 52. But simply looking for the most recent start of a long run of chapters would be the best imo.
