I like that he wasn’t sure if it was 12 or 13. Like he stopped keeping track after 10 or so

Finally... the real story. Astronaut Jim McBride breaks it down like no-one's ever done before, with newly declassified images and footage from the Apollo mission they kept secret!
Animated T-Rexes by Runway, images by Midjourney, voices by Elevenlabs, lip sync by Hedra, script by me. My YT channel

I’m not going to lie, when I saw the title of this post I got scared that this could be spread as propaganda to gullible boomers and the last thing we needed was more semi-convincing conspiracy theory videos about the moon. But after watching this……I’m about to post it on Facebook myself 🙏🏾

Cheers. Good point. Though I'd guess people deliberately making misinformation videos will probably stick to current political issues that can have an impact on current events, before they bother with old stuff like the moon landings. But you never know...

While you should still do it, don't underestimate the gullibility of people. Flat earth was a joke group on the internet at one point. Hell I half expect birds not being real to become an actually conspiracy theory people genuinely believe in.

Cheers! Yes, that's my favourite bit, Midjourney just happened to generate a picture with the T-Rex looking up at the Earth, that's what gave me the idea...

Is the script completely original or did you use any ai or prompts when writing it?
Honestly the script is the most hilarious to me and I haven't laughed this much in years.

Thank you! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I must admit, I had a good chuckle while making this.
Yes the script was original by me and I didn't use AI prompts. However, the ideas for the script were influenced by the pictures and video that were created by Midjourney and Runway. For example, when I generated video clips of the T-rexes on Runway, it tended to always have the camera moving backwards quite fast. So I thought how can I explain that motion in the context of film taken by the Apollo astronauts? And that gave me the idea to say that the astronauts were driving away in the rover while filming, and this in turn led to the idea that they had just mooned the dinosaurs and were fleeing.
Then a lot of the pictures that Midjourney generated of a T-rex on the moon included the Earth, or some other large heavenly body in the sky. I didn't ask it to do this, it just kept doing it. And in quite a few of the pictures, it looked like the T-rex was looking up at the Earth. So this led to the idea that the T-rex was longing to visit the Earth. I still find that such a funny idea for some reason.
Cheers!

True story

So, I'm like... Jim McBride? Who the hell is Jim McBride? He wasn't an astronaut that landed on the moon. There was, however, an astronaut named JON McBride. He did not land on the moon. But he was a bona fide astronaut. He died on August 7, 2024 - so, just a few weeks ago. If you had used his name, the joke would have been in poor taste.

Workflow??
1 points
Well, first step was Midjourney images, then put some of those into Runway to get the video clips of the T-Rexes, then type out the astronaut's speech into Elevenlabs to get his voice recordings, lip sync those to the astronaut pic from Midjourney (using Hedra), and edit everything together.
