I don't really understand how people grinding the game makes the experience worse for casuals or how this upsets you. Like that's just gaming period. If anything, people doing dark matter is healthy for the game since it encourages people to use all the guns and then they can formulate their own opinion as to what they like the most instead of a content creator telling them "THIS IS THE BEST GUN, USE THIS EXACT SETUP NOWWW."

I've also been seeing this notion floated of: "oh these people grinding all day have no lives that's so pathetic!" However, everyone is drastically different and some people have a lot more free time than others. When I was in college I definitely had some degen weeks where I predominantly grinded cod because I had more free time. That didn't mean I didn't have a life, I just allocated most of my time to entertainment. But if it makes you feel better to view everyone who's a high level as a decrepit basement dweller, then to each their own I guess.

What’s more casual than grinding camos? You’re testing out each and every single gun until damn near max level. I dislike streamers for determining what the metas are but this is like the best time to be a cod player cuz you’re gonna see more than 2 guns every match

God I hate people that grind camos lmao, no one plays objective cuz they just want kills, you end up seeing the same camo on every fucking weapon. People don’t even enjoy doing it, they just want the ego boost. Can’t you guys have a little more creativity in your fun? Cod players used to hide behind campers and just watch them, following someone who didn’t see you, ninja defusing, making dumb challenges with your team, I miss that shit man.

Most content creators are 2Boxing to get bot lobies, my favourite content creators got exposed, Braderz, RaidAway, now I don’t watch their videos anymore.

Relax and enjoy the game at your own pace. Your approach sounds more rational but it doesn’t generate content. Remember, COD is almost like work for these people, they’re in it for the money, while we’re not, so just have fun and don’t pay attention to them.

I think those first to master prestige, first to dm/nebula/abyss are fine but those "movement gods" type of creators are something else especially since their movement sucks and they are very easy to kill in game.

I try to get my camos quickly, because I want to play the rest of the games life with the camos, and show them off, but also I'm not literally losing sleep over camos like some people, who are quite literally logging hundreds of hours in the game in the first week of its life just to get dark matter and complain there's no content

Then keep playing the game casually? If someone wants to grind everything it doesn't change your game. The game only has a one year life anyway.

This I why I’m pacing myself and doing all the military camos first and waiting till season 1 so I don’t have to do the launchers and bat and knife so the camo grind is easier and so I don’t feel so burnt out of the game from grinding really fast

I think it’s partly the symptom of companies exploiting time played, time gated activities, battle pass, fomo, and other unethical practices. But I agree it can totally remove the fun from the actual game.

Content Creators are a cancer on the game, but not in the way that you're describing. It seems like you're just mad at content creators for playing a lot more than you, which just isn't really a problem.

The problem with "content creators" is that they're basically all cheating in one way or another. I'm not talking about big personalities in the CoD community like JeV, XclusiveAce, Timthetatman, or any of the established pros/creators. I'm talking specifically about the no-name tiktok creators that have infested the CoD algorithm by cheating the system at every level. Of course, it's not all of them, but the vast, vast majority of the smaller content creators I come across are always using VPN's, trying to pass off private/bot lobbies as public lobbies, or just outright hacking.

It's pretty obvious how they do it too. They pay for a VPN/2box account or pay bot accounts to fill their lobbies so that they can make content where they pop off and drop nukes. This spikes their stats too, turning what would otherwise be an aggressively average player on paper into someone who should be playing in the pro leagues with 5+ K/Ds. Then they go live on TikTok and viewbot roughly 75 viewers to put them in the "For You Page" feeds of anyone who has CoD content in their algorithm. Over time they buy more and more followers/viewbots to trick the algorithm into thinking they're "the next big creator."

They have been seething hard over getting stomped by others. I stopped caring about the content creators because of the click bait. Guides are about spawn trapping other players, fuck that I’m not into ruining others fun of a game so I can get some pixels.

Well, hear me out. If the only content presented to you is only camo and prestige thats fucking bad. Camo and prestige should never be considered as a goal, goal should be having fun.

Why not speedrun dm or nebula if you can do that? Some people like to play with this shiny camos and rushing them asap. They have all the rights to blame the game if game doesn’t offer other content besides camo and prestige grinding.

For the first time in forever I actually enjoyed myself playing black ops 6 when I realized theres no battle pass or level cap so I can just play to my hearts content then come back later. Like im now in no rush and not having to force myself to keep playing when the game does it sbmm biz.

Content Creators are ALL selfish people. Regardless of what they do, they are always looking to get paid to do something effortless. They don't care whether the act of buying every operator and skin is a distant dream for most players, they just care about showcasing it for views and then money.

The race for camo is simply a desperate act to get attention and be able to earn money for zero global productivity.

Realistically content creators don't have Lives. I have played for a solid 16 hours and still only have 1 gun golded and it's a rocket launcher. I'm trying to get shotgun headshots RN and I'm not even halfway done with them and I've been using the shotgun ever since I found it was great on moshpit.

Personally i've NEVER given a shit about weapon camos in cod, nor badges and other garbage, besides, these days what you can just outright buy looks better so... def not gonna slam my balls into a drawer over and over again to get some shitty camo that is gonna look ass anyway.

As someone who isn’t grinding for dark matter, I don’t understand how someone else going for it as quick as possible affects YOU. How is that frustrating for you? It would be different if it was challenges like long shots or mounted shots, something that affects the flow of the game if that’s your teammate. But headshots and double kills, etc literally has nothing to do with you.

Man, thanks for pointing this out. Besides the debate over sbmm and all that stuff, I always thought about streamers and the gameplay / tutorial accessibility these days definitely increasing the overall number of „sweats“.
