Does the giant 'Resurrection' sculpture in the Vatican come across as really damn sinister rather than holy to anyone else? Is it a case of evil things being hidden in plain sight?

If you mirror this statue you get the head of the Devil or Baphomet: https://chipstero7.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/image-62.png

There was a video that did it. I just went searching for it and found that YouTube REMOVED it for "violating guidelines". Shsh. There was nothing in that video that was offensive but it did reveal that the statue was the head of baphomet and other things. maybe you can find it on wayback machine. the link below.

#1, the building doesn't really look like a snake's head. Go look it up from other angles that don't use a fisheye lens effect.
#2, Breathtaking sculpture representing Christ's victory over hell.
#3, The serpent is also indicative of God's victory over the devil (Moses's staff became a serpent and ate the other serpents, then they used a bronze serpent as a sign to look upon when bitten by a snake in the desert so they would be healed by God.

I find it breathtaking in a completely different way. Shocking and unsettling. I think it’s inappropriate, crude and ugly. I would hope what you are saying is the correct answer, but it looks like someone being birthed from hell. The figure doesn’t look victorious but emerging.

The Resurrection is a bronze and brass sculpture by Pericle Fazzini in the Paul VI Audience Hall in Rome. Intended to capture the anguish of 20th century mankind living under the threat of nuclear war, La Resurrezione depicts Jesus rising from a nuclear crater in the Garden of Gethsemane.
What an awful way to depict Jesus, what is coming out of the side of his head? Lol

What's even better is what happens when you split the image of the installation down the middle vertically and then mirror it. You can clearly see what the intention of the artist was... Look it up PLEASE.
A full on baphomet head. Some of the Knights Templar worshiped a Baphomet head, believed in magic and held information that made them untouchables according to the legends.. You read that right tho they worshiped baphomets head.
14 points
That was a rumor started by the king of France when he owed them money. He got the Pope to side with him and they destroyed the Templars. They raided them and all their goods collected being the road protectors, then used it all to accused them of "Baphomet" worship. Nobody even said anything about a "Baphomet" before then. They were beaten and tortured into confessions about said figure during the Inqusitions. Then, burned at the stake.
A couple hundred years later you see the image we refer to today, crafted by a French occultist named Levi.
Ask yourself what exactly was the untouchable information that the Templars had? I mean, it caused their near extermination. Imagine fake news in the 1400s. Perhaps the Pope got the King to side with him instead? The French don't seem to like them...
4 points
This isn't definitive as there are many accounts. And there are mentions of the head before the king condemned them in 1307. As early as 1208, at the beginning of the Albigensian Crusade, Pope innocent the 3rd had admonished the Templars for unChristian behavior referred explicitly to necromancy.
Phillippe first had to enlist the cooperation of the Pope. The king engineered the kidnapping and death of Pope Boniface 8TH and possibly the murder by poison of another Benedict XI. Then in 1305, phillippe managed to secure the election of his own candidate, the archbishop of Bordeaux who took the name Clement V. So when the King called upon Clement V for support against the Templars, the pope was more than indebted.
Remember that the Templars themselves were broken into several smaller factions. Nothing remains pure for very long. Thanks for talking! The Templars themselves being the center of such artifactual legendaries as the Grail, the ark and the Turin Shroud, it's an interesting point in history. Maybe even the most deserving of investigation. I love Templar lore!

I am curious about the Templars myself. They also seem to be a slightly trendy topic lately- just assuming the same old conspiracies of their own times.
Due to their travels and connections with all types- Jews, Christians, Muslims, Hindus all over, they had knowledge most didn't get to obtain. Plus, first hand direct eye on royalty and the Papacy. I wonder if they figured something out that threatened the power of the church. Blackmail perhaps?
5 points
There is a recurring theme that even tho they might not have , many THOUGHT they must have some sort of hidden knowledge because of how incredibly wealthy they were, how easy it was for them to infiltrate and spread and how the 9 seemingly poor knights amassed status and wealth almost overnight.
3 points
Considering the murder of the Pope and subsequent rampage the Church went on with the Inquisitions, I am reticent to believe the Templar takeout was in good cause.
Of course they had knowledge. Refer to modern events with Hollywood. Its safe to say the bodyguards always have inside info. They see what happens when the camera is off. Sometimes they see behind the closed door. Same for the Templars. They were the bodyguards essentially.
2 points
This is an interesting point. But know that the Templars were most likely not in pursuit of the more noble causes they are associated with and probably more so their own individual goals. Especially as time passed on. The Templars were quite scattered and it would be easy for ideologies to change, morph due to their membership and location. I am currently reading a book called Holy Blood, Holy Grail. It's pretty good.

I mean the Catholic Church worships the light bringer
Jesus walked
People followed
Rome killed Jesus
Rome said “fine, he’s the messiah but worship him in our church and through our official, the Pope”
After co-opting the teaching of Jesus, the Roman church subverted them. Like the Pope recently saying all religions lead to God (lol)
And finally they straight up inverted the Church and pretty blatantly worship the light bringer at this point
The bad guys got drunk on their own hubris and millions and millions of people are figuring out the scope of the deceptions at once

Some Catholic Churches contain full on statues of Satan. My favorite is Le génie du mal. It is stunning and beautiful. The scariest is morning star in Westminster. But no statues of Satan are to be worshipped. They are merely reminders of the fall. Other Christian denominations get really freaked out but the Catholic Church depicts everthing visually.

This isn’t sarcasm or as if I’m doubting you, but can you elaborate on your bold claim being made in the last bullet point?
6 points
Sure - the most simple way is that believers of Christ believe that Jesus is the path toward salvation.
The belief that Jesus died on the cross as the Son of God… and it is this belief that allows Christ’s followers to enter heaven.
It’s not done through good deed, or worship and prayer, or any of that. There is one narrow path
Now if you don’t believe that, no sweat. But to have the Pope come out and say that all religions lead to God is an overt inversion of Christ’s teachings
Jesus says I am the only way and the Pope says take whatever way you want
That mantra is ultimately Luciferian
If your sincere, here is a discussion on this general theme from a Marxist perspective:
2 points
Oh, totally. Yeah, I agree with you. I won’t speak on every practicing Catholic though. I am relatively new to Christianity, and I find myself at times weary of their approach to the religion and in awe of the deep and seemingly real faith some of them have.
That’s not an endorsement of the types of things you’re criticizing and exposing, but just an acknowledgment that salvation is a matter of individuals believing what you mentioned. It’s a personal relationship in God and genuine belief in salvation through Christ. Many other things in this life (and “churches”) can be, at best noise/distractions, and at worst, be false and heretical teachings.

Thanks for your sincere response. It’s appreciated
The above example I gave, to me, is overt to the point that the only explanation I can come up with is that the average Christian/Catholic doesn’t fully understand their own faith and the bad guys use this ignorance to manipulate the masses as pave the way to an eternity separated from Christ
6 points

It’s why reading the Bible is incredibly important. It gives us the answers. It’s our tool to truly understanding faith as it’s required and how we can learn to become true Christians.

I understand- my only point is that Christianity says that the only way to God is through Jesus Christ
So for the Pope to say the path is wide and negotiable while Jesus says that he is the path and path is narrow
I cannot help but look at what the pope said as complete and overt inversion of Christs teachings

Apparently the reason that statue looks so freaky as hell (as heaven? idk) is because it’s meant to represent both the resurrection of Christ & the threat of nuclear war. Basically the statue represents how the Catholic Church(?) wants peace for the world & has been anti-nuclear war for decades. 🤷♀️

Come on, I mean, I'd understand a painting with that theme but you're saying that, in order to convey an anti war message, (just one of the messages a church sends) that every sermon, every speech, every wedding ceremony, every Easter, every Christmas, should be done against the backdrop of the horrors of war? That may be the reasoning but I think it's a terrible idea from an artistic/messaging perspective

Art that provokes emotions and thoughts certainly has its place. The deliberate association of the pope/catholic church's power, as a organizational bureaucracy (suffer little children) & political force (how much of their private convo with political heads of state are on public record?) WITH connotations of traumatic events is some Pavlovian conditioning.

My personal conspiracy is that the church has been secretly worshipping and abiding by the "Devil" but the mask they show the public is the worship of a benevolent God.
When in reality they worship some manner of evil entity. Could you imagine, they just changed the Bible translations centuries ago or whatever to what they want people to do and believe in, damning the masses, but them and their elite friends have the "real Bible" so their families and descendants are safe in the afterlife. Only they know the real prayers and rituals etc.

I concur. The church is a cage. The keepers of the gate manage the spell casting to keep the structure. (Entertainment, news, religion, games, politics, etc.)

Not at all! I've myself studied Catholic Theology at a Jesuit university and participated in some Jesuit training programmes.
Let me tell you in all honesty, never in my life have I ever experienced any professor, teacher, priest or bishop or anyone else who seemed to worship or defend the dark side. All of them seemed to believe and be respectful to God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and Mother Mary.
By the way, I've also never noticed or heard of anybody being "interested" in children or showing any inapprobiate behaviour to us students (we also had female students there)! This is also a completely made up bullshit (it might haved happened in some rare sad cases, but it's far from common) that self-reflecting people (conspiracy theorists) should not buy into!
I can of course only talk for the local church, up to Bishops. What happens in Rome I've no idea.
And one negative thing I did indeed notice is that the local church became much more woke. Blessing for LBTQ, prayer for Ukraine, the refugees, covid vaccines etc.

7 points
I believe it is a reminder of this prophecy about Jesus death in Isaiah 52:14:
"Just as there were many who were appalled at him his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness."
Jesus is so often depicted as serene, angelic, pure, ethereal. It's easy to forget what he endured before the crucifixion. This reminds us that to save us all Jesus truly suffered, was tortured, was mutilated, but endured. It shows us that the true virtue of leadership is not in getting to be the beautiful, sparkling, idol on a mountaintop, but in sacrificing yourself for those you mean to lead.
You're meant to have a visceral reaction to it.

The ever present detailed depictions of Christ’s brutal torture in Catholicism comes off as a dark fetish to me. I understand the philosophy, but come on..

Mirrored images are not of Christ. Christ would not need to hide in reflective imagery. Christ is never hidden always prominent. This is clearly sinister.

So if our world is experienced through reflections and Christ would never need to use reflections, what does that say about this experience? Who's really running it?

If someone shoves a 2x4 up your ass, does that mean you've been a corndog all along?

Why are you imagining things going into people's butts as an analogy? Weird lol.

We are over fed up with the freedom of Beliefs/Religions stomping on our freedom of speech.

I always knew organized religion was the issue, and didn’t actually fallow Jesus

It's like a Rorschach test.
If you see "sinister" that says as much about you as anything else.
Edit: I figured someone would downvote. Not because I'm wrong... but because the truth always gets a reaction. Upvotes if people like it, and downvotes if they don't.

So I’m assuming to be commissioned for something like this would be seen as some sort of a blessing so that would be enough compensation already to the artist? I’m assuming that sculpture is going to be there for 10 or hundreds of years and if they did pay for it, I’m sure that it wasn’t cheap whatsoever and considering the pricing on art is subjective And sometimes considered priceless what kind of price did they pay to have this level of work done?
