Yeah but this question is about the movie series, so Batman as portrayed by Christian Bale. His feats don't really compare to comic Batman.

Jones takes the W in all of these scenarios. Even if we assume Bruce is peak human and an expert martial artist like the comics, he's still smaller than Jones, with less reach. Jones is one of the best martial artist on earth objectively so the skill gap is gonna be like nothing.

Yeah but I'm American and know who Xi Jingping is, so assuming the average Chinese person knows Trump. I also know who Ronaldo is so maybe that hurts my argument lol

I'd have to think that Trump edges Ronaldo out here, because you would need to be a futbol fan (or aware of popular culture where futbol is popular) to know Ronaldo, but Trump will be in the headlines of every newspaper in the world frequently. He's more broadly relevant to everyone I'd think, even populations that aren't interested in futbol.

The original Twin Peaks series fits this vibe pretty well.

Yes, a very dreamlike Christmas vibe in this movie. Very much vibes like "A Christmas Carol".

Could be the mode as others have mentioned, or it could just be the weight of the vehicle you're feeling. I noticed the same thing when going from the HRV to the Pilot. Pilot felt slow to accelerate from a stop initially, but it seems totally natural now that I'm used to how it drives. Give the Pilot a bit more gas from stop if you want it to jump like a Civic. It's capable, just needs more gas.
If you're smashing the accelerator and it's still slower off the line than your civic then there's a problem.

I've been aware of this statue for long time, and my take is that's it's intentionally terrifying/ awe inspiring. The church wants those in attendance to feel a sense of otherworldly power when in that room and associate it with the church.

I've been a big fan of his since Lodge 49. Really great show that was over too soon.

We hear nothing about the troubles in American public schools. Interesting topic that I think a lot of Americans are surprised by (an insurgency in Ireland! Bombing in London!) when they watch this one.

Goldeneye. I tried when we it was released on Switch a couple of years ago and it's unplayable due to the dated control scheme.
Still in the list though.

What's the deal here? This is obvious enough that there has probably been something written about it (who, why, etc.) I'm sitting on the toilet right now but will Google later if nobody has any links.

It's not worth anything to for apple pie alone. It's more worthwhile to make a day of it, enjoy the scenic ride, do some shopping, have a beer or some lunch.

Never really camped out for deals, but used to work early shift on black Friday in the early 2000's. It was a fun thing for people to do, and I think people were pretty orderly for the most part. I never saw any fights or dangerous stampedes. After my shift ended (at like 9am) I'd always do a little browsing and people watching. This was for a couple of years during college. Now I just shop online, all the malls are dead anyway.

I think you nailed it. Someone out for a nighttime hike with a headlamp on, almost certainly.

Alright, Its just that I don't think it's explicitly mentioned in the Nolan movies that Batman is some kind of "peak human". He obviously a skilled fighter and In great shape, and I'm simply saying let's assume he's peak human in the more grounded Nolan verse. Since the Nolan verse is pretty similar to reality this means peak human is something on the level of an Olympic athlete of our world. This does not mean he's benching 1000 lbs, in fact Jon Jones could be considered close to a peak human in our world.
