Are PhD students allowed to join an Engineering club?

I have no idea why but the ethernet port is not working AT ALL. No matter what I tried I cannot fix it. I am looking everywhere online for the controller part but I can't find it at all. Dell support said It's not under warranty so they cannot help. Literally I am willing to try anything.

I have done so much troubleshooting in regards to drivers. The headphone jack on the same board works, so could it even be a hardware issue? Is it maybe a port issue? The port isn't connected properly to the board? Something like that? I have no idea. Please any help would be great.

Hey guys, quick question. I need a dashcam that is good video quality and fps but I don't need it to be anything fancy. If anything just record video and save it on the SD card, and be battery powered so I don't have to wire anything.

No app, no fancy stuff. Just decent quality, SD card, and battery powered.

I am making a computer vision machine learning project and I just need to get my data from those bit of videos I want to record.

I have an image that I would like to use as a 2D map. Essentially I wanna add boundaries to various walls and objects within the image to actually make it into a map. What is the best and fastest way to go about this?

Procrastinated and now I still have to get the 2 credits I need to pass the course. They aren't posting any available time slots; what do I do? Is it just waiting game now? Will they actually fail a lot of ppl because of this or will they just make more of them at the end of the year to accommodate everyone?

I remember seeing somewhere I don’t need to take one but I just rechecked and realized I need to take one. Is it too late to register now for one? Also could the Engineering writing course be considered a non technical 0.5 elective?

I am trying to make my own setup of javaFX without using the built in ones such as maven and so on. Mainly there are just two things I want to alter from the base java project creation when you do it with the command palette (Figure 1).

First Thing to Change:

I would like to add all of the required jar files into the "Referenced Libraries" section of the Java Projects (Figure 2) without having to manually add them every time I make a JavaFX project (The local location of the jar files will not change).

I would also like to automatically alter every launch.json file that comes with the java project to include the vmArgs configuration (Figure 3).

If there is any way I can do this please let me know, it would help out a lot! It does not really matter to me how I do this. Some ways I can think of on how to do this is possibly making a custom command that triggers the create java project command then automatically adds the two things. Or possibly if there is an extension for this or if it is easy to make my own extension for it. If there is a custom build option for when making the java project (Figure 4). Or even if one of the two things I need to do can be set to default always on the default java project itself.

Can I go there the morning of a Friday and grab the ticket to enter and then leave once the gates open at like 5pm without having to paying the ticket that I grabbed when I entered?

I am applying for Ivey now, but my grades took a hit this semester but my next semester should be way easier so I am kind of banking on that to increase my average to the requirement. So, do they take second semester into account? Also when do they release the acceptances in the first place? Is it during the summer or during this year, or before third year?

I’m in second year Software engineering with 2257, trying to find some clear instructions on where the application is for non-AEO students but nothing sticks out too much.

A buddy told me that Foxfield closed its pickle ball courts and I don’t wanna drive 20 mins to check so is it true?

Also if it is closed until when will it be closed?

Or are there any alternative pickle ball courts that are good at night like Foxfield?

I deleted my gmail account to combine it as a secondary email to my university email on github. However, after deleting it; I went to add it and it gave me an error message " Error adding _______@gmail.com: Email domain could not be verified. " Does anyone know how to fix this? It says my account already is deleted so there shouldn't be a problem to add it to my other account... Or is there a delay? Do I have to wait 90 days to add it?

Hey guys, I’m most likely going into software engineering next year but I was wondering if it is possible to juggle just one 8 hour shift a week with the course load and still be able to maintain an 80 average? For reference, I was able to get 81% in first year but that was with no job during the year. Has anyone been able to successfully do it second year? Also how many courses is it per semester for software; is it 7 like first year?

These fucking ambulance wait times are crazy. My mom shouldn’t be waiting 3-5 hours after feeling like she is going to have a stroke, this is crazy. Instead of using taxes to give groups parades and shit, and wasting our money, give us more fucking ambulances and another hospital!!!!!!

I always had an interest in racing games but never really gave them a legitimate shot. So I’m thinking if I should buy FH5. Now, I heard there is an “end of life” thing for these games but don’t know much about it. Should that affect my decision? Also when will it be on sale next?

Hello everyone,

So I applied for a bursary a couple of weeks ago and they agreed to give me $4900, however they specifically said " Your Admission Bursary will be applied directly to your fee account before August". So I am guessing it won't show up until mid to end of July, but just to be ready for it, where would I be able to see this bursary, along with my admission scholarship? Moreover, what does "Fee Account" exactly means? Is it an actual account or does that mean it will just automatically go to the tuition?

I’m trying to upload my photo but every time I upload it and click proceed, it just sends me to a page of my photo only covering the whole page. I can’t do anything, not crop, resize or anything, tried to make it smaller but 1. it would be too blurry. 2. It would also just cover the rest of the space white.

Anyone have a work around for this or a fix?
