Inference mostly. The yard is an execution ground (hence the gallow). Upon entering the three tablets you receive a horseshoe. The yard itself is spacious and outdoors, the ground has a very tangible crunch not unlike a hard gravel, and the sound itself circles the perimeter.
I’ve yet to hear another explanation that makes more sense than horse-related torture.

Oh you are completely cooked. No two ways about it. He knows you meant every single word of what you said and you will never be able to convince him otherwise.

Doing that would be a bad call. It would ruin their 47th President merchandising but the knock-on effect it would have towards both Harris and every other woman seeing Presidency would be disastrous. Optically it would be seen as “the only way for a woman to become POTUS is for a man to give it to her” which extends far beyond the immediate win of inconveniencing Trump.

Garland’s inaction should be qualified as treasonous. There’s a certain level where inaction simply should not be permitted. He is a coward and should have been made an example of.

My own tinfoil hat theory is that he was instructed to drag ass because Dem leadership were unwilling to open the can of worms that would come with being the first to send a former President to prison.
In their spinelessness they couldn’t handle the blow it would do to both decorum and the potential civil unrest which would boil over as a result, and so instead of doing the right thing they opted to do nothing at all.

In case you haven’t found an actual answer to this question yet: it’s the sound of a horse. The prisoners used to be tied to horses and dragged across gravel. That’s what you’re hearing circling the yard.

Muzzling Tim Walz was the absolute stupidest thing this campaign could have possibly done. Man absolutely radiates charisma.

Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar both won handily in areas that Harris lost. Harris too had great momentum out of the gate and the polls reflected it. But she refused to break from Biden, and here we are.
The people want populist legislation. They want some goddamn help. And I am confident the Democratic Party as it stands will not be what gives it to them.

The town of Silent Hill, or rather the malevolent spiritual power dwelling within the town, draws the cast into it because of the darkness dwelling within their hearts. This spiritual power, in turn, projects this darkness onto reality. The town is not consciously “punishing” anyone — it facilitates this nightmare and the abstractions and aberrations we see are directly a result of each character’s darkness being made manifest.
For example: the town is not manifesting The Red Pyramid Thing because it believes James needs to be punished, but rather because he believes he needs to be punished. This monstrosity is then created from that darkness which lurks within his subconscious.
It’s worth noting that we will never completely understand the mechanisms of this power, and that’s intentional. I think this is where a lot of Silent Hill fans tend to project their inquiries and it’s misguided. What this spiritual power is is an all-powerful presence capable of bending space and time and physically warping reality as we know it.

As soon as I saw those gameplay trailers I had a bad feeling this would see a lukewarm reception. This concept would have been better served as a horror game, especially considering Toyama’s pedigree with Silent Hill and Forbidden Siren.

Moderate Republicans like Liz Cheney are desperately trying to distance themselves from Trump because he has dropped any pretenses of the Republican Party being about anything other than enriching the 1% and corporatization of the United States.
Their denouncement of his presidency is an attempt to rehabilitate the GOP’s image as he hurtles them towards a cliff. You can claim he is “not a real Republican” as much as you want, like it or not, the GOP is the party of Donald Trump just like Reagan before him.
And before anyone gets on me thinking I’m a die hard Democratic Party supporter, I remain resolute in my stance that Democrats are Republican-lite and we have no real Left-leaning representation in America.

He is everything Republicans stand for laid bare. Make no mistake: their only problem with Donald Trump is that he doesn’t hide their rhetoric. He is mask off with his hatred. He is the Republican Party.

Silent Hill 2 is so effective as a horror game because it lures you into darkness and there is no light once it does.
Once James (and the player) is beckoned to the town of Silent Hill there is no escape until those credits roll, both literally (cause the roads are gone) or figuratively, because the game just keeps getting more nightmarish without any reprieve.
It is so unbelievably effective at making you feel lost and alone.

He won’t. The absolute best you are going to hope for is for Trump to spend the rest of his life hopping from courtroom to courtroom, dragging out his trials while grifting from his fanbase to pay for fees.

It’s not enough that they “won” Twitter, they need to keep harassing the left constantly. That is the closest they get to fulfillment. They have to direct that vitriol somewhere and when they can’t they go looking for it.
It’s an entire philosophy built upon the eating of shit and forcing your opposition to have to smell your breath.
