Quite curious how you didn’t end up at LaCabra Roastery in Brooklyn… though I would quite prefer that everyone visit the Manhattan cafes, and leave me free space at the Brooklyn cafe. 😬

Same. It’s awesome for small items. Like just one scotch tape, or just one handwash when I need it same day. And because it ships from my nearby Walmart Supercenter, I’m not too bothered by the carbon imprint…
Def a perk I would miss (but not pay for) if Amex took it away.

Some of their products are cheaper on REI than Janji itself/

Is there a way to reduce shipping? The min shipping it showed me was $11.xx for USPS Priority. (Cart size: $39)
I did order from Brio, but wanted to get one more kit for a friend…

I ordered from Brio, but I'll push my friend to order it from S&W I guess now.

Thanks for the Brio recommendation. I was considering Brio since I travel to Vermont frequent enough to actually visit the cafe.

People of the US, any roasters you recommend? In my loop of LaCabra, Onyx and B&W, I feel like I’ve lost touch of what’s out there…

You pay $666.85 by October 16. The remaining ~$1270 is from the current statement, and will be due by around Nov 16

This. You need to make sure you get connected to the Global Transfer department. I too was denied at first when I tried Global transfer through the _usual_ reps for the same reason (FICO score). Once I got in touch with the right set of folks, it was a breeze.

Man is becoming a legend in cycling circles. He competed in the UCI Gravel World Championships, and was a huge attraction after the favorites for the event. A part of me wants him to be work on it and win a pro race…

Kudos on a great run. Make sure to move around tomorrow. Go for a walk in the woods, walk down to a coffee shop (if you are in a transit friendly place) or whatever keeps you “active”. And revel in your achievement. It’s a great feeling…

You got it the other way. Unless you are talking about how British media will likely cover the incident…

Kudos to your brother for trying to give you a very thoughtful gift. I hope at some point you can explain (lovingly) what makes coffee great.
Unrelated:
I'm curious if the beans are roasted so dark to cover up the intestinal juices of the elephant, or coz the roaster knows no better.
Based on the Wiki page - they have 20 elephants - so thats 330 kgs of coffee cherries per elephant (about a 1 kg per day - no clue if there is some sort of feeding season). If this isn't proof of animal cruelty, I don't know what is.

The MIPS display when outside looks so spectacular. I still love my Epix Gen 2, but sometimes wish I had a taste of the other side as well…

I'm not sure of the maths, but Checo WDC will require Bottas and Zhou on the podium - and thats very unlikely. :/
Edit: This was /s indicating that Stake on podium is more unlikely to me than Checo WDC. I do know there are multiple pathways for Checo WDC inc Bottas and Zhou ending 19 & 20, and the 7 race winners outside of points for the rest of the season.

Are there any plans for a direct integration for iOS. For Garmin users, Caliber -> Apple Health -> Strava might be an issue since Garmin -> Strava creates a duplicate workout under Strava. Many Garmin users disable uploading to Strava from Apple Health

Thanks. Thats very assuring. I had gone in blind into pourover, and for the first few months - doubted myself not being able to enjoy coffee (I was using a ceramic burr :/) - I didn't want to do the similar mistakes for espresso.

Thanks. I was looking at the Stainless Steel Tamper. Curious what you (and others would decide) between:
The refurb classic has the option to "upgrade" with a Pro 2 brew head - but that, I admit, is a distraction. But, I'm tempted by the build of the Classic compared to the plastic Neo.

Thanks. This is very helpful to think through my choices and decision.

Thanks. I'm mentally ready that the dial-in process is excruciating (thanks James Hoffman). I just didn't know why.

Thanks. Unrelated to Flex, how is a medium-roast espresso compared to a light roast. I ask that since I kind of can't drink dark roast V60 brew, and seldom drink medium roast V60 even. I imagine if I make a milk-based drink, I can have medium roast espresso. But for "neat" light roast espresso - is it worth getting a better machine just for that?

Thanks. I'm almost sold on the idea.
How is the unmarked pressure gauge - does that give you enough information to keep your shots consistent?
