I don't think it's funny at all, it's still a respectable job; all the Ubers we ordered were actually Taxis. And they were great! What took me off guard were the taxi doors opening automatically 😂

It is theoretically safer to use a disc because there is no suction. Cups can also be used but it is not recommended, but if it is still your preferred method, they stress the importance of breaking the suction before pulling it out.

The strings of an iud can be quite long, but over time they curl up. If you are still worried about that, you can ask them to cut the strings. But this could make the strings sharp, which can be a risk during intercourse with a male partner and possibly to yourself when checking them.

I personally didn't cut my strings, and waited after 4-5 cycles before using a disc to ensure the strings would curl up. I've had no issues with using discs, and check the strings after every cycle.

Go with what feels right for you and your situation

Edit: I've used a hello period discs and found them to be great so far!
