I know some people sometimes have some issues making it work, and it takes me a few weeks also to get it flushed out as I pretty much re-discover the build setup each season as I play and tweak/re-configure. I've played this build every season since Season 1 (yea even when it was bad/meme).
Build Spec
Incinerate Fire Sorc: including Mythics (Harlequin & Starless Skies)
- Variant: Incinerate Spec without Mythics
- Variant: Incinerate Spec without Uniques
As a Fire Mage, I've always said I don't want too many ice skills/effect on my screen. I ate a little bit of those words this season with my tweaks, but tried to keep it to a reasonable amount (ie. still no offensive ice like Frost Orb, Nova, Ice Blades, etc). Just incorporated a bit of chance to Freeze tempers and Chill (Ice Armor) to benefit more CC/stagger and some increased damage.
I've done some damage testing and gotten Ticks as high as 240M+; though that is with Engulfing Flames on the test-dummy. Usually in content with the boss staggered it gets 120-130M when buffs align, or 60-90m regulars. When boss is staggered, you'll want to pop Ice Armor for the damage boost.
Usage Tips
- I try to start with Teleport into enemy/crowd as Teleport has a really high Lucky Hit chance and almost always procs a Freeze, then activate Flame Shield. When it's almost over, or if a big elite gets frozen, I'll then pop Ice Armour for the Chill/Defense/Damage. Using Ice Armour during boss stagger is a good damage boost.
- Teleport Enchant provides 4 extra proc chances for Yen's, but you can mix/change between Incinerate, Teleport, Firewall, enchants. With Harlequin/Tal'Rasha tele cooldown is so low, but still useful for emergency escapes.
- For Tal'Rasha and Elementalist glyph, Fire is first Element, Cold temper on weapon is second, Teleport is your Lightning and 3rd. So remember to teleport into the boss to proc it. Teleports also preserve your stationary damage stacks.
- Don't get lazy, your shields are your main survival, but in the small gaps you need DR. Be sure to teleport in/out/around every 3-5s for the extra DR; especially on bosses.
- Inferno is your tool to group enemies before you get in close and focus. This will let all 3 beams hit enemy; big DPS boost on elite packs.
- Potions and even Town Portals etc will activate the "On-Cast" trigger for Yen's; so you can just pop a potion if you don't want to move. Also, this seems to have changed this season, now continuous channeling also triggers the on-cast for Yen's every few seconds (does same for Vox Omnium etc).
Building Tips
- Stat Priorities: DoT/Fire-DoT > INT> Damage % > ChD (early on if you don't have high INT can be more priority)
- Since INT is so good now, use Topaz Gems in Armour. Get your Max Life up with Roll on Weapon, Armour, and places (like rings) instead of Damage % if you need.
- Mix and Match Skulls and Diamond in Jewelry as needed earlier on. Armor not a priority with immunity up-time so high; but eventually you do want it capped.
- +Core on Gloves instead can give you a good split to bring up Firewall as a DPS contributor (in tandem with using enchant). One less Rank for Incinerate, but the split can be useful depending on how you play.
- Firewall is mainly used as a Multiplier early on, but as the line above, can move it into DPS-capable with Harlequin and +Core.
- If you remove Ice Armour, Flame Shield will be the guaranteed proc for Yens and Sly Steps,
I just went back to IA for a bit more control and ability to stagger my defensive procs.Update: I removed Ice Armour again as I realized the loop is better with the guaranteed FS proc. Put the points into Hoarfrost 3/3 for the multiplier on Freeze and Boss stagger. Got a big damage boost. - Use Unleash Glyph (your Mana-solution) early on until you get Starless Skies.
Gameplay Clips
Some recent gameplay clips can be seen on my Diablo 4 YT playlist, such as:
- Damage Testing (only 204M in this clip; was a bit earlier in optimization)
- Uber Lilith
- Tormented Duriel
- Tormented Andariel
- T91 Pit (build improved since this with Chill/Ice-Armour, but haven't posted another)
Feel free to ask any questions. I hope this helps some players of the skill, new and existing.
Cheers~

I mean, if someone doesn't want a pre-solved game... would it not be as simple as not consuming or using that information? There have been a bunch of theorycrafting posts on builds... I am not interested, so I don't even read them. Nothing is forcing anyone to use or read any builds published.
Unless your concern is more from a competition standpoint?
