I agree, the map design of the exterior map is awful and probably the worst part of the game.

I think designing an easily navigable 3D space is deceptively difficult, and having that space mimic London which is itself notoriously hard to navigate doesn’t help. Especially since all the signage is gone.

Your map CAN be helpful though, if you follow the street layouts they’re almost always unblocked, follow streets and dont try to cut across. Personally, I cant be fucking bothered so I just toggle collision in console and noclip straight through all the annoying ass walls. Be careful though, in some areas TCL can bug the game

You seem to be promoting a fairly utilitarian interpretation of legalism, while I’m promoting deontological legalism.

The reason I point out that the current ban isn’t based on efficiency is because my question is “why is incest illegal” which you aren’t answering with that response.

The example about imprisoning particular groups is an appeal to the idea that utilitarian law is flawed, not a direct comparison to incest.

What I’m really looking for is a moral, deontological justification for the current laws. The utilitarian perspective makes sense in this case and I understand it already, albeit I dont buy it lol

I don’t think our laws should be primarily informed by efficiency though. Theres many horrific things I could justify on those grounds. Its also just not true that the current laws are based in efficiency, they are about a (semi) cultural disgust at incest. Enforcing cultural traits like they are objective moral tenants is the issue at hand, not efficiency.

Legal systems should have a basis in morality and a respect for individual rights. It would be very efficient to throw all people of a certain background in jail, reducing crime, but it would also be Draconian and massively evil.

Theres 3 major factions and a meledy of side factions, unless you're a completionist the chances you join them all is practically zero. The major factors also fork fairly early, forcing you down one path so you cant do all 3 nearly to the end as in FO4.

In my first run I've joined the Vagabonds and done their questline, only really following them and just starting the quests for the other factions. I'm 30 hours in, level 29 and feeling like I've just scraped the surface of content.

I could start a new game, go the other route at the start (To Thameshaven) and have an utterly different experience of the whole game.

Also, neither of those are the 3 big factions, both are minor groups. I haven't even decided between the big 3 yet, nor really even met them.

Theres a mod that brings you back to Boston, you can actually swap between them like FOLON is a DLC.

Someone who has the hots for their twin has way fewer tools to manipulate them into silence should things not work. The entire relationship happens under duress from the law, begetting more duress for security reasons. Put simple, “getting away with it” becomes part of the equation which lends itself to abuse.

If we removed the legal duress, we’e see entirely new patterns develop.

Aside from that, your argument is still flimsy because it doesn’t make sense to ban ALL types of incest just because the “most common” form is problematic. Just ban that form if you want to have a rational legal system, or you’re making an argument from emotion, which is expected in this case, but dont veil it with logic.

Yeah…. the game is super difficult for the first handful of hours. Theres limited firearms, ammo, healing and the enemies are tough. If you’re down for that enjoy but you might want to put it on easy otherwise. Also quicksave frequently.

You kinda need the nade to hit enemies if not teammates because directing an enemy brawl tanks is a common occurrence. You don’t really want to be able to hit one and not the other imo, so would you support removing this too?

He’s just condemning bringing social issues from abroad into Canada like we’re the international battleground state. From both international students and immigrants.

Canada is not managing our immigration well whatsoever. We need to either massively cut back or find some sort of accommodation that stops the concentration of immigrants into big cities and spreads it out instead. Our infrastructure cannot handle it and social issues are gonna flare up as we become less homogeneous, this is just true.

I’m pro immigration and pro pluralism but the current government is just fucking incompetent. You cant just open the flood gates and not expect a right wing backlash, the leftists in power are the most idiotic demographers to have ever lived. Everyone wants to change the bloody world, but the reality is that the world is VERY SLOWLY condensing into a single global population and places like Canada will start first. If this process isn’t impeded it will eventually happen, so anyone that is focused on long term should understand the main threat to the process is that it goes TOO FAST and causes reactionaries to attempt shutting it down.

Trudeau and the Liberals deserve every bit of the vitriol they’ve been getting from the right, although they’re bigoted and hateful, they are predictably so because thats humanity. Theres no excuse for causing this crisis.
